Cocooned - by Gopa

Cocoon, Cocoon, Cocoon
The world wants to be you-Cocoon
Though I`ve always wondered Why???
You tell me Cocoon- Is your life something to vie?

The world says: Cocoon is the life to be
It sleeps peacefully inside, without the drearies to see
Its wrapped and safe with nothing to do
It gets food and sleep without any ado.

I thought to myself, Is it so great
To be cocooned without a bait?
So I sat next to it and anxiously asked
Till it had no ways to see me past.

The Cocoon said: To the world i`m cocooned
Ask me, I`m all wrapped and doomed.
I want to see, and smell and fly
Who cares this life, I want to be a Butterfly.

I open my eyes- I see darkness
As a butterfly there would be no loneliness.
I`m bound in this slimy hard nut
I want to come out and keep this shut.

I`m Oh so lonely with no pal
I want flowers, nectar, and rosy gals.
I want gardens, fountains, and dance in the rain
I want to see meadows and playful children.

What life is this as a Cocoon
Ask me it has bane but no Boon.
The Cocoon revealed its story to me
Fly! Fly! Butterfly-- you be.

The END of My Poetic Exploits

The END of My Poetic Exploits

The world turned around its orbit,
the Butterfly got a cage;
From now, his life will forever,
cease to be his stage.

He used to talk to mockingbirds,
he used to sing his line;
Mountains swayed to his rhythms,
fountains hummed his rhyme.

Down the lane of mellow marshmallows,
meandering between the pines;
Fluttering little red romantic wings,
could be heard like a chime.

He loved the sound of soft ripple,
from the sweet magic stream;
Little did he know his fairy was,
building a cage for him.

He wouldn’t try, he wouldn’t cry,
the battle he wouldn’t wedge;
from now on the little red Butterfly,
would die in his fairy’s cage!
